PG DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE
The Department of Commerce, established in 2001 with a UG program, was upgraded to PG in 2013, scaling heights ever since. Offering a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Co-operation as an optional course, it meets the demands of the contemporary academic world. Highly professional, the course provides a foundation for students planning careers in business and commerce accounting. Students undergo internship programs after their fourth semester, enhancing their adaptability to the industrial world. The department organizes industrial visits for all classes and encourages students to initiate events like National Seminars, inter-collegiate meets, and inter- departmental events. It also facilitates participation in events organized by other colleges and activities of social relevance, fostering creativity and the right mindset to tackle challenges in globalized business environments through value-based education and social outreach programs.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) - 3-Year: A comprehensive 3-year undergraduate course equipping students with foundational knowledge in commerce and business. The balanced curriculum covers essential subjects such as accounting, banking, marketing, and economics.
Bachelor of Commerce Honours - 4-Year: An advanced 4-year undergraduate program designed for students seeking a deeper and more specialized understanding of commerce and business practices. This program delves into core and elective subjects with greater intensity and offers opportunities for research and internships. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least one commerce subject are eligible for admissions to the B.Com degree course. Candidates who have not studied commerce subject for Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks are also eligible. A concession of 5% will be given to OBC/OEC candidates. The SC/ST candidates need get only a pass (U.O.No,GAI/A2/1658/2007 dated 28.02.2008)
Calculation of index mark:
Total marks+25 marks for each commerce papers subject to maximum 50 marks
