The cell helps the students to optimally utilize the benefits of the schemes offered by the State Government and Government of India. The SC/ST cell of the college strives to ensure that, officials/faculty members of our institution would desist from any act of discrimination against SC/ST students on grounds of their social origin. Further the Cell ensures that no official/faculty members of our college indulge in any kind of discrimination against any student belonging to SC/ST community.
Objectives
- To ensure the effective implementation of the reservation policy in admission
- To promote special interest of the students in the reserved category
- To provide special inputs in areas were the students experience difficulties
- To monitor any caste based discrimination in the campus
- To make the SC/ST students aware of the various scholarship programs of State and Central Governments
- To implement special training for SC/ST students for placement and higher studies
- To follow up measures for achieving the objectives and targets lay down for the purpose by the government of India and UGC
