World Hydrography Day

On 25th June 2022, the Department of Chemistry conducted a session to celebrate World Hydrography Day, which was handled by Dr. Madhavan Komath, a retired scientist from CWRDM. The event saw participation from 45 students who were eager to learn more about hydrography. Dr. Komath provided an introduction to hydrography and its importance, covering various aspects such as principles of bathymetry, marine geodesy, and oceanography. He also discussed the challenges in hydrographic surveying and advancements in technology.

The session ended with a Q&A session where students were able to clarify their doubts and seek further information on hydrography. Overall, the session was informative and engaging, providing a deep insight into the field of hydrography. The Department of Chemistry is grateful to Dr. Komath for sharing his expertise and knowledge with the students.
