I am greatly rejoiced and proudly manifest the fact that the drastic transition of WMO Arts and Science College from a small college into a reputed and prestigious institution in the Wayanad district. The great visionary, Jb M.A. Mohammad Jamal, the founder and Chairman of the institution led it to glorious heights. His servitude to education and mastery of entrepreneurship over the last five decades made this college a great hope for young aspirants.
In order to accomplish our vision and mission, we are prepared to make studious endeavours to a prosperous academic scenario among students in Wayanad and neighbouring districts. We believe that education is an essential and effective tool for social transformation. We are inspired by the stupendous number of students and their bright and successful careers which subsequently benefit society. WMO Arts and Science College is endowed with a progressive futuristic outlook. It aims for consistent growth in the quality of academic activities which helps to meet the expectations of the students, parents and society at large. Our college cares for the individual development of each and every student. We follow a “mentoring system” under which each class put forth into the multi-pronged web of a teacher. We accord prime importance to the behavioural discipline, moral integrity and cognitive developments of our students. Departments of Youth Welfare, NSS, Physical Education, Career Guidance Cell, Readers Forum, NCC, and Centre for Women Empowerment offer integrated services for the multi-faceted developments of our students. Our teachers strive to teach not only academic programmes but also life skills needed for students’ self-development. students, parents and society at large.
