On 6th August 2022, the Department of Chemistry conducted an interdepartment caption contest as a part of Hiroshima Day. The contest aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of promoting peace and to commemorate the victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The captions were judged based on their creativity, originality, and relevance to the theme. The contest was a success, with many students showcasing their creativity and awareness of the issues. It was an excellent opportunity for students to express their views on promoting peace and eliminating nuclear weapons.
